Mesothelioma Lawyers, New York
"I'm a lawyer," I answered. "And I handle the occasional non-mesothelioma case, such as a murder by strangulation."
"Today's not a good day for people who don't like being choked," Tuck pointed out.
"Today's not a good day for people who don't like witnessing the end of the world either," I reminded him.
"So you believe this stuff?" Tuck asked, with a smug look on his face.
"Well," I said, "let's just see what Morty has to say about it. He looks able to talk now."
There were still important questions that needed to be answered. My first question: How was Mrityu causing the mesothelioma? And my second question: How and why was Morty involved?
When I thought about it, I realized that I had a third question: Why was Mesothelioma Lawyers, New York the center of it all?
Of course, all these questions paled in comparison to the biggest one of all: How could they stop it?
Tuck looked at Morty starting to stir. "Yeah, he's starting to come around, but I don't know if he's going to give up any information willingly. I'm calling for help."
"No," I said. "We won't be able to explain the dead body, or the guard in the locker who will start yelling when he wakes up."
"But you're innocent," Tuck protested. "You did what you had to in order to save me. I'm a witness."
"It would be our word against his," I said. "Who's to say he wasn't working in his office when we barged in and took out two of his men, then tried to strangle him before he broke free?"
